The network will be airing The World Dog Awards in January 2015. It promises to bring all the Hollywood glitz it can fetch for the two-hour program.

Held at the… wait for it… Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, Calif., the event will honor dogs from all walks of life — “entertainment, health services and the military, along with everyday dogs who found fame on the internet.” The event kicks off with a green carpet where stars share the spotlight with their own dogs.

A dog-related expo, complete with vendor booths, dog demonstrations and more will take place around the exterior of the Barker Hanger.

CW and show producers Juma Entertainment with Robert Horowitz crafted several fitting awards categories, including “Best Actor in a Supporting Role to a Dog” and “Outstanding Achievement in the Field,” which will honor dogs who have saved a human life, shown amazing compassion for other animals or for their service to those with health issues.

Viewers will also be able to vote for their favorite four-legged-friends. Details on that voting process to come.
