EA’s short film promotion for “Madden NFL 16” may be the most hilarious filmed entertainment released this weekend.
“Madden: The Movie” stars Dave Franco and Christopher Mintz-Plasse, along with NFL stars Julio Jones, Rob Gronkowski, Colin Kaepernick, Antonio Brown and Buffalo Bills coach Rex Ryan, and starts out as a gang crime-thriller before transitioning into a Bollywood romance — Mintz-Plasse dance routines and all — and then finally closing with a dinosaur threat.
With names like “Blade Johnson,” “Half Top,” “Trick Montalban,” “Sticky Bun” and “Janet,” this playmaker team-up dominates the small screen — for about five minutes.
