‘Days of our Lives’ Cast Hits the Hollywood Christmas Parade Route to Receive Special Honor (Video)

A little rain fails to dampen spirits as long-running soap receives special honor

It totally rained on the “Days of our Lives” gang’s parade last week — but if it bothered them, they sure didn’t show it.

Deidre Hall, Galen Gering, Kristian Alfonso and other residents of Salem dropped in on Nov. 30 for the annual Hollywood Christmas Parade, greeting fans while riding aboard a festively decked-out bus.

The weather was uncharacteristically uncooperative, with a very rare burst of rain dampening the parade route, but the actors’ spirits refused to be dampened as they made the way down the route.

The “DOOL” gang had reason to be in good spirits — the daytime drama received a special honor during the parade, as the show prepares to enter its 50th year.

The Hollywood Christmas Parade aired on the Hallmark Channel on Wednesday at 4 p.m. and will be re-broadcast on Friday, December 19 5:00 p.m. ET before airing in syndication in most CW markets across the country. Local station KTLA will also air the parade in Los Angeles on Dec. 19 and 21.

Until then, watch a behind-the-scenes glimpse at “Days of our Lives’s” big day.
