Fran Bascom, the veteran casting director whose credits include "Days of Our Lives," "Designing Women" and "Evening Shade," died Sunday, her sister Lisa Green told TheWrap on Monday.
Bascom's age was unknown.

According to Green, Bascom had not been ill, but had felt under the weather for the past couple of weeks. However, she began to feel ill on Sunday, and was transported to Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, Calif. Bascom's cause of death has not yet been determined.
Bascom also served as casting director on "Lou Grant," the 1979-1980 comedy "The Last Resort" and "Women of the House." Bascom's most recent credit on IMDB is the 2012 Hank Williams biopic "The Last Ride," which starred Henry Thomas, Jesse James, Fred Dalton and "Big Bang Theory" star Kaley Cuoco.
