‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’ Casts Casper Crump as Vandal Savage

Actor will first appear on “Arrow”-“The Flash” crossover episodes on The CW

The CW’s “Arrow”-“The Flash” spinoff “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” has found its big bad villain Vandal Savage, casting actor Casper Crump in the role, the network announced Tuesday.

Crump’s character is immortal, having spent the past 6,000 years moving like a virulent disease through history, whispering in the ears of despots and dictators, all leading to his eventual domination of the world.

Crump will recur on “Legends of Tomorrow” as Savage.

The news comes on the heels of Monday’s announcement that Falk Hentschel will play Hawkman.

“Legends of Tomorrow” brings together heroes and villains who have previously appeared on “Arrow” and “The Flash.” Cast members include Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, Arthur Darvill, Caity Lotz and Victor Garber.

Crump starred in the Oscar-winning short film “Helium,” and will next be seen in “Tarzan” opposite Alexander Skarsgard. He is represented by Bradley Lefler and Lindberg Management.

“The Flash” returns for Season 2 on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. ET and “Arrow” returns the following night on Wednesday, Oct .7 at 8 p.m. ET, both on The CW.
