"Viva Forever," the long-rumored Spice Girls musical, has been given the go-ahead, with Judy Craymer lined up to produce the stage show.
Craymer, the creator and producer of ABBA musical "Mamma Mia!," has agreed to create the show with Simon Fuller’s XIX company, the Spice Girls and Universal Music Group. Fuller managed the Spice Girls.
The producers said "Viva" will not be a tribute show, but "will harness the distinct personality of the Spice Girls to create a musical that celebrates the energy and excitement of the biggest girl-band of all time.”
