Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone, together again?

The former California governor has been approached about Summit Entertainment and Emmett/ Furla Films' "The Tomb," starring his "Expendables" co-star, TheWrap has confirmed. Schwarzenegger (and Bruce Willis) had previously been considered for the lead role that will be played by Stallone.

But while Schwarzenegger's potential involvement in the drama hasn't progressed beyond that point, director Mikael Hafstrom ("The Rite," "Derailed") is in talks.

"The Tomb," currently in preproduction, is about the head of a security consulting firm who tries to break out of a state-of-the-art prison that he designed. After realizing that he's been set up, he must escape or die trying.

Mark Canton, Randall Emmett, Robbie Brenner and David Hopwood are producing the project. The screenplay was written by Miles Chapman ("Road House 2: Last Call") and rewritten by Jason Keller ("Machine Gun Preacher").

"The Tomb" is due in theaters next year.

Schwarzenegger is represented by CAA. Mikael Hafstrom is represented by WME.
