Maya Entertainment announced Thursday that it has closed an international sales deal for its Eva Longoria comedy "Without Men."
Longoria, Christian Slater and Oscar Nunez star in the movie about what happens in a small Latin American village after all of its men leave to fight in the country's civil war. The women create a utopia, and when the men return, a clash of the sexes ensues.
Territories that closed deals during Berlin include: Argentina (Flash Star), Australia (E1), Brazil (Flash Star), Canada (VVS), China (Time Antaeus), CIS (Volga Film), Greece (Hollywood Classics), Latin America (Videx), Middle East (Eagle Films), Poland (Vision), Portugal (Films 4 You), Romania (Programs4media), South Africa (E1) and Switzerland (Praesens).
Final negotiations also are underway for sales in France, Germany, Italy and Scandinavia.
The film is slated for release in the United States in July.
"Without Men" was produced by Indalo Production’s Anthony Moody with Lucas Jarach and Jason Price.
