Guy Pearce will star in the sci-fi thriller about a rescue at an outer-space prison
FilmDistrict has acquired the domestic rights to distribute "Lockout," a sci-fi adventure about a falsely convicted government agent (Guy Pearce) who must rescue the president's daughter from a maximum-security prison in outer space.
James Mather and Stephen St. Leger will direct from their script co-written with Luc Besson.
FilmDistrict is the independent studio launched in September by Graham King. The Paris-based EuropaCorp is producing.
