At the premiere episode party for “Parks and Recreation” on Thursday night, Amy Poehler blew out the candles on a cake with the rest of the cast, including Rashida Jones, Chris Pratt, Nick Offerman, Aziz Ansari and Aubrey Plaza. Her wish? Emmys, perhaps, to match the ones her former "SNL" co-star Tina Fey seems to effortlessly rack up for “30 Rock.” (Photo below by Alex Wyman, Wire Image.) Jones, fresh off her success in “I Love You, Man,” joined guests in watching back-to-back episodes of “Parks and Recreation” along with her old show “The Office.” Hoping this lineup will work: Ben Silverman, with his dad in tow. “The Office” cast also showed up to lend support, including Melora Hardin, Rainn Wilson, Mindy Kaling, B.J. Novak and Kate Flannery, the latter of whom knocked back shots of kahlua and cream. All the better to keep the laughs coming … Silverman chuckled along to the punchlines with Wilson and Poehler’s hubby Will Arnett at the park-themed bash. Rather than hold the event outside, in true Lala-land fashion, benches, a grill, plants, and yes, even grass, were imported into Hollywood nightclub MyHouse.

On Friday, David Arquette hit the same hotspot for a party celebrating his line of clothing, Propr, founded with musician pal Ben Harper and David Bedwell. A few days earlier, the offbeat fashion fan was all about the Diet Pepsi House, not MyHouse, to support one of his fave causes, Feeding America which seeks to end domestic hunger. Arquette strapped on a bib -- surely not from his own collection -- to paint some Easter eggs with wife Courteney Cox-Arquette, Isla Fisher, Melissa Etheridge and Jewel. Throughout the week, parents and their offspring – including Denise Richards and Tori Spelling -- dropped by to book some face time with a legend: the Easter bunny …

On Thursday afternoon, Jewel also popped up at a luncheon for designer Rachel Pally, hosted by Dita von Teese. The striptease artist left much to the imagination in a stretch fabric dress, with her own glam touches -- oversized sunglasses and curves for days. Also filling out the designer’s casual day dresses at the Chateau Marmont: Amy Smart, Rachael Leigh Cook, Kristen Bell and Sophia Bush …

At the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel on Thursday night, Arnold Schwarzenegger, William Bratton and Antonio Villaraigosa channeled their political power for good at the 36th Annual Whitney M. Young, Jr. Awards Dinner celebrating African-American Oscar winners, though none of the celebrated actors (including Denzel Washington, Sidney Poitier) showed up. And for the late-night crowd, club Halo opened on Cahuenga Blvd. Bill Maher and Omar Epps partied amid the black-and-white décor as girls donning angel wings drove home the heaven-for-hedonist’s theme. What recession? …

Finally, headbangers got their own form of redemption earlier in the week. That could only mean one thing in Hollywood -- an awards show. Comedian Brian Posehn helped dole out a variety of honors at the first annual Epiphone Golden Gods Awards.
