Malibu’s resident surfer dude, Matthew McConaughey, did the unthinkable this weekend: He actually wore a shirt at the beach. Cause for the shocking cover-up? The MaliBLUE Art & Music Festival, where the often bare-chested star served as guest emcee in support of Mishka, the first artist signed to his company, j.k. livin. McConaughey got his groove on with son Levi and baby mama Camila Alves at the fam-friendly event, which helped raise funds for the Surfrider Foundation by auctioning off surfboards designed by No Doubt’s Tom Dumont and Jane’s Addiction’s Eric Avery ...

Earlier in the week, McConaughey hosted another Malibu affair, the opening of the ritzy, eco-conscious shopping center Malibu Lumber Yard. Also in attendance: Anthony Kiedis, Angie Harmon, Jeremy Piven, Jewel, Mena Suvari, Suzanne Somers and the retail center’s developer, Richard Weintraub, who must be hoping that enough people will be willing to dole out top dollar for flip-flops and tanks. The ‘Bu’s bubble hasn’t burst yet, right? ...

Moving up the coastline, Jamie Lee Curtis dropped by the grand opening of the Annenberg Community Beach House in Santa Monica on Saturday, where the celebration included hula dancers, storytellers and kite demos. Christening the historically preserved pool: Cirque du Soleil’s O troupe, who took a synchronized dip for the crowd ...

Also in Santa Monica on Saturday: Kirsten Dunst and Kristen Bell (together, above), who led a two-mile group march that ended on the lawns of City Hall to raise awareness for the abducted child soldiers of Uganda and the Congo  at the Invisible Children’s “The Rescue” event. Tom Arnold and Tom Shadyac also camped out among the young peeps and encouraged them to right the older generation’s wrongs ...

Across town, Julia Louis-Dreyfus hosted the 20th anniversary of the NRDC with a gala at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, which raised a whole lotta green for the eco cause. About $2 million was drummed up for the L.A. branch by night’s end thanks to the power players on the guest list: Cameron Diaz (at right), Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert Redford, Bobby Kennedy Jr., Brian Grazer, Ron Meyer, Elizabeth and Jim Wiatt, Alan Horn and Tom Ford ...

On Friday night, Christina Aguilera put her pipes to good use at the L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center’s “An Evening With Women: Celebrating Art, Music & Equality.” Aguilera belted out “Beautiful” with event co-chair Linda Perry, who also performed her new song “Dear God.” The kooky Sharon Stone lamented she could have been Miss America if only “it weren’t for everything I’ve said.” ...

And finally, for those who still have not had their fill of McConaughey, the Texan will show up at the Mann’s Chinese Theater tonight for the premiere of his latest film, "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past."
