Joy Behar, host of HLN's "The Joy Behar Show," was presented with an Excellence in Media Award and actress and same-sex marriage advocate Cynthia Nixon was recognized with the Vito Russo Award at the 21st annual GLAAD Media Awards on Saturday night in New York.
ABC's "Brothers & Sisters" was named outstanding drama series, while Lifetime's "Prayers for Bobby," starring Sigourney Weaver, took the prize for outstanding TV movie or miniseries.
