Peace Arch Entertainment has put Dufferin Gate Productions, its Toronto studio complex, up for sale.
Peace Arch bought the 72,000-square-foot facility, with five production offices, 16,000 square feet in studio space and three post-production suites, in 2007. It's now asking $3.95 million for the property.
Michael Taylor, Peach Arch's president of TV, said the Toronto-based company is shifting its focus more to TV production and movie distribution in Canada, the U.S. and other foreign markets.
Dufferin Gate hosted many shoots for Showtime Networks, as well as movie and TV work for Paramount, Columbia TriStar and Granada Television, in the 1990s. Of late, however, ithas hosted mostly local Canadian shoots.
