A new musical featuring a score and book by "South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and "Avenue Q" Tony winner Robert Lopez will open on Broadway in March 2011.
Entitled "The Book of Mormon," the production will be co-directed by Jason Moore ("Avenue Q," "Shrek the Musical") and Parker.
Producers are Scott Rudin and Anne Garefino; she is executive producer of "South Park."
A workshop production of the musical, then called "Mormon Musical," was done in 2008 starring Cheyenne Jackson.
