Demi Moore Joins ‘Empire’ in Recurring Role

Actress will make her first appearance in Season 3 finale

Demi Moore has joined “Empire” in a recurring role.

The actress will make her first appearance as “a take-charge nurse with a mysterious past” in the Fox drama’s upcoming Season 3 finale, and will return to be “ever more treacherously entangled with the Lyon family” when the show comes back for Season 4 next fall.

Moore joins a growing list of big-name guest stars for “Empire’s” third season. As previously announced, Eva Longoria, Taye Diggs, Phylicia Rashad, Nia Long and Moore’s own daughter Rumer Willis will also appear on the show.

Moore hasn’t had a significant TV role since her turn on “General Hospital” in the ’80s. She was set to star in ABC’s straight-to-series “Ten Days in the Valley,” but has since been replaced by Kyra Sedgwick.

“Empire” stars Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson, Jussie Smollett, Bryshere “Yazz” Gray, Trai Byers, Grace Byers, Gabourey Sidibe, Ta’Rhonda Jones, Serayah, Bre-Z, Xzibit and Morocco Omari. It is produced by Imagine Television in association with 20 th Century Fox Television, with Lee Daniels and Danny Strong serving as executive producers alongside Brian Grazer, Ilene Chaiken, Francie Calfo and Sanaa Hamri.
