Boko Haran, the group that kidnapped more than 200 girls from a Nigerian school last month, released a video claiming to show the girls on Monday.
The chilling footage was released by French news agency Agence France-Press and features group leader Abubakar Shekau claiming the girls had converted to Islam.
He also said he would free the girls in exchange for the release of Boko Haram prisoners.

“These girls, these girls you occupy yourselves with…we have indeed liberated them. These girls have become Muslims,” he said in the video. “We will never release them until after you release our brethren.”
