Donald Trump stepped up his feud with Democratic presidential challenger Hillary Clinton by taking a swipe at her husband’s past indiscretions.

“Hillary Clinton has announced that she is letting her husband out to campaign but HE’S DEMONSTRATED A PENCHANT FOR SEXISM, so inappropriate,” Trump tweeted Saturday about former President Bill Clinton.

The GOP frontrunner’s attack came in response to an interview that Hillary Clinton gave to the Des Moines Register last week, in which she criticized Trump for saying she got “schlonged” in the 2008 Democratic primary.

“She was going to beat [Obama,] she was favored to win, and she got schlonged,” Trump said at a rally in Michigan on Monday.

“She lost, I mean she lost,” he quickly clarified.

Trump faced widespread criticism for the comment, including from Clinton.

“It’s not the first time he’s demonstrated a penchant for sexism,” she told the Register Tuesday. “Again, I’m not sure anybody’s surprised that he keeps pushing the envelope.”
