Never mind what your own lyin’ eyes and ears might tell you: Donald Trump loves women. And women love him!
GOP presidential candidate Trump, who’s come under fire for what some have perceived as a disrespectful attitude toward women, put aside part of his Saturday to set the record straight on the matter.
Trump’s verdict on the topic? Donald J. Trump and women are just fine with each other.
The air-clearing campaign began with Trump sharing a tweet by one of his supporters which read, “Dear @CNN, after doing a quick Google & Twitter search there are over 15,000 women’s groups supporting DonaldTrump. Stop Lying.”
Trump then cited another tweet reading, “WOMEN LOVE TRUMP. TRUMP’S EXECS PREDOMINANTLY FEMALE. #WOMEN4TRUMP”
The business mogul/presidential aspirant then went on to lament the media’s apparent misinterpretation of his attitude toward females.
“The media is so after me on women. Wow, this is a tough business,” Trump wrote. “Nobody has more respect for women than Donald Trump!”
Trump has been blasted repeatedly for comments he’s made about women, notably by Fox News’ Megyn Kelly, who called him to task during a Republican debate last year.
