‘Dynasty’ Gets Full-Season Order at CW

Reboot of the 1980s primetime soap premiered last month

Dynasty” is lassoing a full season.

The CW has given a full-season order to the freshman drama series that premiered last month, the network announced Wednesday.

The show is a reimagining of the original primetime soap from the 1980s and centers on the powerful Carrington family.

Cast members include Elizabeth Gillies (“Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll”), Alan Dale (“The O.C.”), Grant Show (“Melrose Place”), Nathalie Kelley (“UnReal”), James Mackay (“The Leftovers”), Sam Adegoke (“Murder in the First”), Robert Christopher Riley (“Hit the Floor”) and Rafael de la Fuente (“Empire”).

“Dynasty” is a co-production between CBS Television Studios and Fake Empire. Executive producers are Josh Schwartz (“Gossip Girl”), Stephanie Savage (“Gossip Girl”), Sallie Patrick (“Revenge”), Esther and Richard Shapiro (creators of the original “Dynasty”) and Brad Silberling (“Jane The Virgin”).
