E! Builds Up Programming & Development Team With Multiple Appointments

E!'s new programming & development boss Jeff Olde sets his leadership team

E!'s programming and development executive vice president Jeff Olde is building up his senior leadership with a number of executive appointments to the company's programming and development team, Olde said on Wednesday.

Under the new appointments, Blythe Asher has been promoted to senior vice president, talent development and casting, and oversees the talent and casting of E! core franchises "Fashion Police," "E! News" and "Live From the Red Carpet." Asher, who joined E! in 2009 from MTV, also handles the casting, booking and talent relations for E!'s pilots, series and specials.

Leela Pon, who manages E!'s late-night offering "Chelsea lately" as well as development for the network's upcoming talk show "Hello Ross" and the new series "The Trend," has been promoted to vice president, programming & development.

Damla Dogan will continue to serve as senior vice president, programming and development, while Kevin Plunkett will remain as senior vice president, scripted programming, reporting to former VH1 executive Olde, who joined E! in March but officially came aboard in July. Kate Hoenisberg has been promoted to director, scripted programming, reporting to Plunkett.
