E!’s ‘Kardashians,’ ‘#RichKids’ Debuts Score Ratings Win; Sneak Peek Next Episode (Exclusive Video)

Sunday and Monday premiere episodes rank high for viewership, across social media and E! Online traffic

E!’s two-night premiere of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and outrageous new series, “#RichKids of Beverly Hills,” performed well for the network in ratings, across social media and drove a high number of traffic to EOnline.com.

The two Season 9 debut episodes of “KUWTK” averaged 2.4 million total viewers on Sunday and Monday. It also rated high in all key demos: 1.57 million were in the advertiser-coveted Adults 18-49, 1.21 million viewers were Women 18-49, 1.08 million were Adults 18-34 and 846,000 viewers were in the Women 18-34 demo. Those numbers represent a more than 40 percent increase over last season’s fall premiere episode across key demos.

Meanwhile, #RichKids averaged more than 1 million total viewers for its first two episodes with more than 5.5 million viewers total who’ve watched the episodes over Sunday and Monday. It’s currently pacing to be E!’s best performing series in Women 18-49 and Women 18-34 since August of 2012 with 556,000 and 381,000 viewers in those demos, respectively. It improved on its timeslot by 13 percent year-over-year.

Both shows also popped on social media. On Sunday, “KUWTK’s” unique Twitter audience was ranked No. 1 against all other networks with 2.3 million. It was also the No. 1 most-talked about non-sports show across broadcast and cable that evening. Monday’s episode ranked No. 3.

“#RichKids” ranked No. 3 on Sunday among non-sports, ad supported cable networks. And on Monday, it got 14,300 mentions on Twitter, bringing its two-night average to more than 37,000 tweets.

Maintaining its position as the strongest reality program for E! Online traffic, “KUWTK” drove 274,000 unique visitors and 1.2 million page views to the site. Meanwhile, Sunday’s episode of “#RichKids” brought the second-highest page views among all new season premieres. Including Monday’s traffic, the new series reached a two-day total of 60,000 unique visits and 133,000 page views.

On the Season 9 debut episode of “KUWTK,” fans watched as Khloe Kardashian managed the media frenzy of her split from Lamar Odom. Kris and Bruce Jenner also hammered out the terms of their widely reported separation.

On the first two episodes of “#RichKids,” viewers met best friends Dorothy Wang, the unemployed daughter of a billionaire business mogul, and Morgan Stewart, a lifestyle blogger whose family is worth millions, and their circle of similarly wealthy twenty-something friends.

On next Sunday’s episode, the gang goes to Cabo San Lucas to celebrate Morgan and her millionaire realtor boyfriend Brendan Fitzpatrick’s anniversary.
