Insomniac has announced the dates for the Electric Daisy Carnival 2017.

The 21st edition of North America’s largest electronic dance music festival will take place over three nights, Friday June 16 through Sunday June 18, at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The pulsing, throbbing mecca of electronic music in the desert routinely sells out months before the lineup is announced. This year’s roster reveal is expected in May, a few weeks before the festival.

Unlike Coachella or Lollapalooza, where lineup speculation runs rampant, the rule of thumb for EDC is to look at Spotify’s “Electro Now” and “Fresh EDM” playlists and assume every artist on them. Throw in every odd-named producer your most diehard DJ fan loves, and any low-hanging fruit DJ name an EDM-hater can come up with in a game of trivia to also share the bill of about 250.

Last year’s lineup included Skrillex, The Chainsmokers, Kaskade, Tiesto, Martin Garrix, Marshmello, Hardwell, Zedd and DJ Snake among many others.

“Last year we celebrated 20 years of EDC with over 400,000 beautiful people in Las Vegas, and it was truly a milestone for Insomniac” Pasquale Rotella, Founder and CEO of Insomniac said in a statement to TheWrap.

“An accepting community and culture is the foundation that EDC was built upon and I look forward to creating new experiences in 2017 for our Headliners all over the world.”

The 2016 edition brought fans (dubbed “Headliners”) from over 60 countries together “under the electric sky” for the three consecutive all-night outings. Unlike most festivals that start during the day and end around midnight, Electric Daisy Carnival starts at 7:30 p.m. and ends in sweltering 90-degree daylight at 5:30 a.m.

EDC is known as much for its production spectacle as its music. Hundreds of characters roam the grounds as art cars, impromptu fireworks displays, glowing tunnels and even upside-down city blocks punctuate the sprawling playground.

The 2016 edition also hosted the first federally recognized same-sex wedding, one of about 200 legal ceremonies throughout the weekend.
