The former ‘View’ co-host reacts to her former colleague and friend’s exit
Elisabeth Hasselbeck, now a host on “Fox and Friends,” gave an honest appraisal of her friend and former “The View” co-host Sherri Shepherd‘s departure from ABC’s daytime talk show.
“I was shocked, in some ways,” Hasselbeck said, responding to an inquiry from her co-host, Brian Kilmeade.
A spokeswoman for Shepherd confirmed her exit from the talk show to TheWrap on Thursday.
Co-host Steve Doocy went one step further, asking whether she thought Shepherd was shocked at her exit.
“You know, I’m sure, even though you think that might happen someday, I’m sure it would come across to be a shock,” Hasselbeck said. “I haven’t spoken to her in person yet. Set to happen though.”
“Just never gelled with the audience,” Doocy said opined. “Sherri, who we love, is out, and Jenny out as well.”
