Ellen Page Fires Back at Anti-Gay Pastor's Letter Over Twitter

“I don't want arms of Heavenly Father around me.A girls arms? Yes,” the actress says

Judging by her response, Ellen Page doesn't need your blessing or approval.  The actress, who recently came out as gay, tweeted a blistering reply to an unnamed pastor who had sent her a letter criticizing her sexuality.

“2 da Pastor who wrote me-Being gay isn't a belief. My soul isnt struggling& I don't want arms of Heavenly Father around me.A girls arms? Yes,” Page tweeted over the weekend to her 884K followers.

It was retweeted more than nine thousand times. So far, there's no word on the pastor's response.

Page, 27,  publicly revealed her sexuality in February, during in a speech to the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's “Time to Thrive” event in Las Vegas.

“I'm here today because I am gay,” she told the audience. “Maybe I can help others to have an easier time … I do it selfishly because I am tired of hiding, I'm tired of lying by omission.”

This shows Ellen Page is a class act! She shows how to respond to a pastor without being mean or defensive and she gets her point across in a beautiful and refreshing way…..

Why do do many want to write articles about a response thst does not seem to warrant to be described as “fired back” or “slammed” or other violent terms other writers have used. And no one has yet to provide what comment the “pastor” said. Many of my gay friends are offended by writers and commentators labeling announcing that they are homosexual as being “brave” as it now enhances public oriented careers. Does that make my gay friends who don't have some sort of coming out event, not brave or not worth as much. This seems to be more professional writers attempting to stir up drama, anger and hate. I see no evidence that Ellen intended any of this when say responded to the tweet or used her identity to express support of other homosexuals/bisexuals. They need to be loved, not used to create drama for our entertainment or pawns to express our own hatred of those who abusively oppose our love. My only criticism of Ellen is she said in her tweet that her soul isn't struggling but her “coming out” speech expresses her soul definately was and probably still is and her “hard time” seems more than not liking that people disagree with her view of sexuality, but whose isn't. Of course most lie about such matters. Disagree out of love not hate.

This is nothing laudable! The very lifestyle of gay and lesbian is unlawful as told by the Lord not a relgious leader. Laws protect life! God gives laws for our benefit, gay and lesbian lifestyle detrimental to society. Nothing religious about this at all.

God doesn't want anyone in heaven who doesn't want to go.

Just another demonically oppressed and disillusioned human who thinks they are gay. We will pray for you Ellen…

In the last days evil will be called good and good will be called evil. The fact that she is applauded for a sinfull lifestyle (and I stress the word, “lifestyle”) is testiment to this.
