Oscar-nominated "Juno" star Ellen Page has signed on to co-star opposite Oscar winner Diane Keaton in HBO’s half-hour comedy pilot "Tilda," reports Entertainment Weekly.
"Tilda" follows a powerful female online Hollywood journalist with a no-holds-barred style. The main character is said to be loosely based on Deadline editor-in-chief Nikki Finke, who HBO is negotiating with to bring her on board as a consultant to the series, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Page will play Carolyn, a morally conflicted creative assistant caught between the corporate culture of the studio she works for and following Tilda, who has taken a keen interest in her. Will she become one of the blogger’s trusted sources? Stay tuned to find out …
Bill Condon ("Breaking Dawn") is directing the "Tilda" pilot and co-wrote the script with "Tell Me You Love Me" creator Cynthia Mort. The duo will also exec produce the pilot, which is scheduled to shoot next month in Los Angeles.
HBO previously announced that it was teaming with Page for the single-camera comedy "Stitch N’ Bitch," which Page is writing with her "Whip It" co-star Alia Shawkat and Sean Tillmann.
Page next stars in the most anticipated movie of the summer, Christopher Nolan’s "Inception," and then re-teams with co-star Cillian Murphy for the psychological thriller "Peacock." She’ll follow those films with James Gunn’s superhero comedy "Super."
Keaton next stars opposite Harrison Ford and Rachel McAdams in the Bad Robot comedy "Morning Glory," which just released a trailer today.
