Emily Blunt Joins Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Rian Johnson’s ‘Looper’

Bruce Willis also stars in Endgame Entertainment’s time-travel thriller

Emily Blunt will be joining Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Rian Johnson's time-travel thriller "Looper," her representation at CAA has confirmed to TheWrap.

The film follows a group of killers who send bodies of their victims back in time to cover up the crime. After all, if there's no body, there's no murder, right? Maybe I've just seen too many movies.

Blunt will play a single mother who must protect her son when he is put in harm's way. Hopefully her character will be romantically involved with Gordon-Levitt, as those two would make a strong onscreen pairing.

Endgame Entertainment is fully financing the film, and Endgame's James D. Stern and Doug Hansen will produce with Ram Bergman, who previously worked with Johnson on "Brick" and "The Brothers Bloom."

Production is scheduled to begin in Louisiana in January.

Blunt was last seen running from Benicio Del Toro in "The Wolfman," and she next stars opposite a gigantic Jack Black in "Gulliver's Travels." The actress will soon be seen alongside Matt Damon in "The Adjustment Bureau."

Blunt's casting was first mentioned in a Production Weekly tweet.
