Emmys: Choreography Performance Has Nominees Up and Dancing (Video)

Winner Derek Hough plays the light-on-his-feet version of Don Draper as the noms celebrate the best in TV

The Emmys properly celebrated choreography for the first time in the awards show’s history, not only televising the category but also celebrating it with a special performance that found HazMat-suited “Breaking Bad” dancers getting lucky.

It was a high-energy, viewer friendly number that celebrated some of primetime television’s top shows, kicked off by host Neil Patrick Harris crooning “Luck Be a Lady.”

Honored programs included “Mad Men,” “Game of Thrones,” “American Horror Story: Asylum,” “Boardwalk Empire,” “Breaking Bad” and “The Big Bang Theory.”

Ultimately, Derek Hough won the Emmy for Outstanding Choreography on “Dancing With the Stars.”
