Fox is giving its new Gordon Ramsay series "Masterchef" a midsummer launch, pairing the show with "Hell’s Kitchen" on Thursdays.
"Masterchef" will bow Thursday, July 29 at 9 p.m., and will air once a week through at late September. "Hell’s Kitchen," which starts at new season Thursdays at 8 on June 10, is currently slated to be "Masterchef’s" lead-in, giving Fox an all Gord-o night for at least part of the summer.
The previously announced (but unscheduled) "Masterchef" is sort of an "X Factor" for chefs. Aspiring foodies will be given the chance to be transformed into a culinary master with the help of Ramsay and two other judges/coaches.
Those other judges, just confirmed by TheWrap, are Joe Bastianich (Becco, Pizzeria Mozza, Lupa Osteria Romana) and Graham Elliot Bowles (Graham Elliot).
“I’m hugely excited to have Joe and Graham join me as judges on ‘Masterchef,’” Ramsay said. ”Both bring a phenomenal wealth of expertise and professional experience to the show.”
With "Masterchef" on board for summer, Fox now has a packed warm-weather lineup, with new programming on five nights per week.
