Exclusive: No, Joan Rivers Is Not Banned From Fox News

Talking about Tucson shooting, comedian called cabled news contributor Sarah Palin “stupid and a threat,” but network says her non-appearance was a mistake

Fox News denies Joan Rivers' claim that she was cancelled from a Fox News appearance for criticizing Sarah Palin.

“Due to the volume of news topics tomorrow morning and a full show, our booker mistakenly canceled Joan’s appearance instead of re-scheduling her for Friday’s show. We’re in the process of booking her on an upcoming show,” said Lauren Petterson, executive producer of "Fox and Friends," in a statement to TheWrap.

Rivers tweeted Wednesday: "I was cancelled from Fox for saying Palin is 'stupid and a threat.' Wait till I REALLY shock them with Aretha Franklin is a bit chubby!"

There's no word yet on whether Rivers will accept the new booking. She made the "stupid and a threat" comment in an interview with TMZ. She also said news media outlets were "right" to blame Palin for the Tucson shootings.
