The horror classic will screen one-night only in advance of its DVD release
"The Exorcist Extended Director’s Cut" will hit theaters as a one-night only event, Thursday, Sept. 30.
In addition to the movie, never-seen on-set footage and interviews with director William Friedkin, writer William Peter Blatty, actress Linda Blair, and other cast and crew will be screened.
“The Exorcist," widely regarded as a horror classic, caused a sensation when released in 1973 and is still considered one of the most successful feature films of all time. It earned 10 Academy Award nominations, winning for best adapted screenplay and best sound.

“The Exorcist” will be available Oct. 5 from Warner Home Video on Blu-ray in a two-disc, high-definition set featuring both the original and extended versions.
