‘Fast & Furious 6’ Full Trailer Takes Action to ‘a Whole New Level’ – Of Ridiculous (Video)

"Fast & Furious 6" features an exploding plane being dragged to the ground by cars, a tank and even the ghost of Michelle Rodriguez

"Fast & Furious 6" is taking action to ridiculous levels by adding a tank and a plane into the mix of automobile-induced explosions.

The first full trailer — over 2 minutes longer than what Super Bowl viewers saw on Sunday — promises some of most absurd bing, bang, booms in the franchise yet because Vin Diesel and his outlaw crew are chasing a villain who has taken his heists to "a whole new level." Therefore, our heroes must rise to the occasion.

If moviegoers are impressed by Diesel driving a car out of the nose of an airplane or intrigued by his old flame, Michelle Rodriguez, coming back from the dead to mercilessly shoot him in the shoulder, the sixth installment of Universal's car-chase-based franchise might be the biggest box office opening yet, too.

"Fast Five" set the bar high when it crashed into theaters in 2011 with an opening weekend gross of $86.2 million. The additional ticket sales, up $15 million from 2009's "Fast & Furious," came with the addition of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and MMA fighter Gina Carano.

Now that Rodriguez is back on board, along with Johnson, Carano and the rest of the franchise favorites like Paul Walker, Ludacris and Tyrese Gibson (sorry, Lucas Black), "Fast & Furious 6" has a chance to break the previous box office record on May 24.
