First Look: Andrew Garfield in His ‘Spider-Man’ Suit

“The Social Network” actor dons tights for his starring role in the upcoming webslinger reboot

It's only been filming for about a month, but Sony leaked fans a shot of star Andrew Garfield donning the signature red and blue tights for the upcoming "Spider-Man" reboot.

Garfield, currently earning raves and Oscar buzz for his role in "Social Network," is taking over the role of Peter Parker from outgoing star Tobey Maguire.

The English actor was considered an off-beat choice, having been best known for his role in low-budget dramas. He beat out other up-and-coming actors such as Josh Hutcherson and Jamie Bell for the coveted role.

Joining Garfield in the reboot of the mega-grossing film franchise are Emma Stone, who will play love interest Gwen Stacy, and Rhys Ifans, who will menace the web-slinger as the Lizard.

Marc Webb ("500 Days of Summer") is taking over from Sam Raimi.

"Spider-Man" swings into theaters on July 3, 2012 — this time in 3D.
