‘Flip or Flop’ Contractor Frank ‘The Tank’ Is ‘Doing Better’ Amid Cancer Battle, Tarek El Moussa Says

HGTV series personality was rushed to the hospital last month

Good news, “Flip or Flop” fans; despite battling multiple forms of cancer, series contractor Frank “The Tank” Miller is on the upswing, according to series star Tarek El Moussa.El Moussa offered an update Monday via his Instagram account, saying that Miller is “doing better” after being rushed to the hospital last month.

The update came in the comments section of a post in which El Moussa divulged that he himself was feeling sick, and that he was “sad” that his children, Taylor and Brayden, could not be around him because of his illness.

“When #daddy is sick and my babies go shopping to get me medicine!!! They are just too cute!! I’m just sad they can’t be around me because I’m sick,” El Moussa wrote.

The reality TV star did not elaborate on the nature of his own malady, but when asked about Miller’s well-being, he replied that the contractor is “doing better!!” since being rushed to the hospital.

In July, El Moussa noted that Miller, who announced that he had inoperable cancer in May, had been rushed to the hospital, and that the contractor’s “body is shutting down.”

In an Instagram post, El Moussa pleaded with fans to pray for the contractor.

“Please please pray for Frank!! This amazing man made this video a week ago for all the amazing people who have supported him and also donated,” El Moussa wrote. “As I write this he is being rushed to the hospital so we need to all pray for him. His body is shutting down and I know he would love to be read the supportive comments from his fans and motivate him to fight!”

“He’s not doing well so now is the time to let him hear how much he is LOVED,” the star of the HGTV reality series continued. “Frank I love you like a brother man I really do.”

In May, El Moussa told fans that the contractor has been fighting “multiple cancers.”

In his own message, the contractor said that his cancer “has grown and spread” to the point where it has become inoperable.

“After three cycles of radiation and chemo the cancer has grown and spread. Now it’s inoperable due to being too close to my carotid artery,” the contractor wrote.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to raise money for Miller’s treatment.

Cancer has been an unsettlingly large presence among the “Flip or Flop” team in recent years. Tarek El Moussa was diagnosed with thyroid cancer after a registered nurse emailed the show’s production company in 2013 to suggest that El Moussa get a medical checkup for a large nodule on his thyroid, according to The Independent.

The reality star revealed earlier this year that, a month after being told he had thyroid cancer, he was also diagnosed with testicular cancer.
