Former CAA Agent Steve Alexander Joins Jeff Berg’s Resolution

Alexander represented Heath Ledger and Natalie Portman

Former CAA Agent Steve Alexander has joined former ICM Chairman Jeff Berg’s new agency, Resolution, the company announced on Wednesday. While at CAA, Alexander represented Heath Ledger, Jeff Bridges, Natalie Portman, Kim Basinger and Emmy Rossum among others.

He left the agency in 2008 and has since worked at Atlas Entertainment and as an independent producer.

“I am thrilled Steve is joining Resolution as we accelerate the growth of our motion picture and television groups,” Berg said in a statement. “Steve’s respect among the executive and creative communities speaks for itself as does his invaluable knowledge of the industry and his unique ability to connect with actors.”

Berg has been building his new agency piece by piece, hiring Rich Green from CAA, CAA alumna Shari Smiley from her own shop and Abram Nalibotsky from Gersh. Other hires include Steve Scenck, Joey Stanton and Remington Franklin.

Berg has yet to hire someone with a substantial client list in terms of talent, but he has hired several well-respected, veteran agents.

"While I thoroughly enjoyed producing and gained invaluable experience from it, the opportunity to return to my first love of building and nurturing great talent was irresistible,” Alexander said in a statement.
