Caroline Manzo Dishes on ‘Unique’ Dynamics Behind Relationship With Andy Cohen

The “Manzo’d With Children” star says the Bravo host looks at her like “a mother figure”

Andy and I have a unique relationship. I think that he does look at me differently [than the others],” Manzo told Huffington Post Live on Wednesday. “We’re not that far apart in age, maybe 10 or 12 years, but I think he looks at me as more of a mother figure than a housewife figure.”

She said one reason they were able to keep such a close relationship was that she set boundaries while taping “Housewives.”

Manzo said, “There were certain rules that I had in filming — you never saw us in our bedroom, I would never wear a bikini — ’cause I have grown sons. I just don’t do that. And I think that kind of separated me from the other ladies.

“When I talk with Andy, I don’t say, ‘My cellulite was showing.’ I talk about business, ask him how he is … so it’s not quite that intense.”

Though Manzo did leave the fold of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” the matron hasn’t left Bravo. Her new show “Manzo’d With Children” premieres Sunday.
