Former RNC Chairman Michael Steele Goes Full-Time at MSNBC

The conservative leader will join the cable news network as a political analyst

Former Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele will bring his services to MSNBC, where he will serve as a political analyst. The move is effective immediately, according to network president Phil Griffin.

Steele has been a frequent guest on MSNBC but this move brings him on board full-time.

"I'm thrilled to have Michael join MSNBC," said Griffin in a statement. "His strong voice and opinions will be a great addition to all of our programs."

Steele was the first African-American chairman of the RNC, a post he left earlier this year.

"It's an honor to contribute and engage in the dialogue on MSNBC," said Steele. "I'm sure our discussions will be both informative and a bit spirited!"
