Fox May Have Its Moe: Chris Diamantopoulos

The “24” actor could join Will Sasso, who’s playing Curly, and Sean Hayes, who’s playing Larry, in the Farrelly Brothers’ comedy

Fox has a Moe in mind: "24's" Chris Diamantopoulos.

The actor who played Rob Weiss in the 2010 season of the show is under consideration for the role of Moe Howard in Twentieth Century Fox's "The Three Stooges."

Fox has not offered the actor — whose hair is much better than the bowl-headed Moe — a role, but an individual familiar with the project confirms that the studio likes him for the part.

If it works out, he'll join Will Sasso, who's playing Curly, and Sean Hayes, who's playing Larry, in the Farrelly Brothers' comedy.

The movie does not yet have a release date.

Bobby and Peter Farrelly are directing, writing and producing. Mike Cerrone is writing and Bradley Thomas and Charles B. Wessler are producing.

Variety first reported the news.
