Fox Moves ‘Popper’s Penguins,’ ‘Apes’; Sets or Shifts 5 Other Release Dates

Jim Carrey movie shifts from Aug. 12 to June 17; “Now,” “The Sitter,” “Monte Carlo” and “What’s Your Number?”also moved; “A Big Year” announced

Fox announced seven release-date changes on Friday, moving premieres for upcoming titles "Mr. Popper's Penguins," "Rise of the Apes," "Now," "The Sitter," "Monte Carlo" and "What's Your Number?" while putting "A Big Year" on the calendar.

>> Jim Carrey comedy "Mr. Popper's Penguins" will be moved up from August 12 to June 17.

>>  "Rise of the Apes" will shift from June 24 to Nov. 23, will it will run over Thanksgiving weekend.

>> David Frankel-directed comedy "The Big Year" will open Oct. 14. The film stars Owen Wilson, Jack Black and Steve Martin and is based on Mark Obmascik's book "The Big Year: A Tale of Man, Nature and Fowl Obsession."

>> Jonah Hill comedy "The Sitter" moves from July 15 to August 5.

>> Selena Gomez romantic comedy "Monte Carlo" shifts from July 1 to August 12.

>> Anna Faris comedy "What's Your Number?" moves from April 29 to Sept. 30.

>> Justin Timberlake thriller "Now" moves from Sept. 30 to Oct. 28.
