Fox News’ Andrea Tantaros Describes Jezebel as Angry Chicks That Hate on Attractive Women

Tantaros was criticizing the blog for reporting that Miss America winner Kira Kazantsev was kicked out of her sorority in 2013 for hazing

Fox News personality Andrea Tantaros thinks the hazing controversy surrounding Miss America winner Kira Kazantsev “is so stupid,” and called the writers for Gawker’s feminist blog Jezebel “angry chicks” for exposing it.

“This angry website that tried to out her — it’s a bunch of angry chicks that just hate on really attractive women — they should find something else better to do,” Tantaros said during a segment of “The Five” (above) on Tuesday. “This is a total nothing burger.”

A week after Kazantsev was crowned on Sept. 14, Jezebel editor Erin Gloria Ryan reported the pageant winner was expelled from her Hofstra University sorority, Alpha Phi, in late 2013 after “a months-long investigation” into reports of “dirty pledging.”

Ryan cited a source who said Kazantsev made pledges lives “a living hell” as Alpha Phi’s Recruitment Committee President in 2013. Accusations include name calling, verbal abuse over physical flaws and imperfections, as well as exhaustive physical tasks that left bruising.

Kazantsev defended herself on ABC’s “Good Morning America” Tuesday by stating that the allegations are “not true.”

“All I can do is sit here and be honest and share that, yes, I was involved under the broad definition of hazing at some point, but never ever in a million years what this is claiming to hold,” Kazantsev said.

Tantaros reaction came hours after the “GMA” interview. Her criticism began by informing her viewers she, too, was in a chapter of Alpha Phi in college.

“Of course, I can not break the bonds of sisterhood,” Tantaros said.
