Fox News aired President Barack Obama's speech in full and paid its respects to Martin Luther King Jr.'s speech … before returning to Obama-bashing form.
Meanwhile, on MSNBC, Chris Matthews gave Obama's speech a glowing review.
"He never preaches division," Matthews said. "He always preaches progress and gettting along together and people taking responsibility for their own lives. Today he sounded a bit like Bill Cosby in that regard."
"He is everything the white conservatives should have designed and said 'our perfect African-American president.' That's if they ever wanted there to be a black president of the United States," Matthews continued. "The speech the president gave today is an example of why there is no credibility to his right-wing critics."

But the right-wing critics found plenty to disgree with on Neil Cavuto's "Your World," which welcomed various guests to discuss whether or not Martin Luther King Jr. would have approved of the first black president and his current policies.
"King would never stand for what's going on today," said L. Douglas Wilder, the first black person to be elected governor when he won in Virginia in 1990. Wilder, a Democrat, refused to endorse Obama during his 2012 re-election campaign.
Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal then bashed the Obama administration's current challenge to his state's school-voucher program. The Department of Justice sued the state over its vouchers that allow students to use public money to attend private schools, saying they increase segregation in the state and therefore violate federal mandates. Jindal maintains that the vouchers give poor students who live in bad areas the opportunity to get an education.
"It’s ridiculous to me that the Obama administration would side with the teacher’s unions against the young children," Jindal said.

But the most explosive comments were saved for last, when Louisiana state senator Elbert Guillory called ObamaCare — and the idea that who King would have supported it — a "slap in the face to every American."
He added that this was "despicable" and "atrocious," adding that the Obama administration's standing on his state's vouchers and its outsourcing of American jobs was a "disgrace to Martin Luther King's memory."
When Cavuto asked Guillory how Republicans could appeal more to minorities, the senator was ready with advice:
"Be more wise in our choice of words."
