Fox News Tops New Hampshire Primary Ratings

Viewership falls short of Iowa caucuses

Fox News was the ratings leader for New Hampshire primary coverage Tuesday night.

From 8-11 p.m., the network averaged 4.17 million total viewers and 991,768 viewers age 25-54 — the demo that matters most for news-programming advertisers.

CNN was second by both measures with 2.73 million total viewers and 950,610 viewers in the demo. MSNBC drew 1.75 million total viewers and 493,692 viewers 25-54.

For Fox News, Tuesday’s was the second most-watched primary coverage in the network’s history, behind last week’s Iowa caucuses. Iowa coverage averaged 4.4 million total viewers for the network.

Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Bernie Sanders won Tuesday’s New Hampshire primaries, claiming their first victories of the 2016 presidential race. John Kasich won the fight for second place on the Republican side.
