Fox Picks Up Antiques-Driven Reality Series

The resident twin appraisers of “Antiques Roadshow” score a gig helping people find unearthed gems in their own homes

Fox is getting into the antiques game — and no, they haven't lured Larry King out of retirement.

The network has picked up a new series, entitled "Buried Treasure," which will star identical-twin appraisers Leigh and Leslie Keno ("Antiques Roadshow") as they travel the country helping people unearth hidden valuables that have gone neglected and unnoticed in their homes, ITV Studios America announced on Tuesday.

According to the release announcing the series, "The brothers will investigate items of interest using cutting-edge technology to determine authenticity, condition and — ultimately — worth.

"The expert duo will reveal the estimated auction values and ask whether the family feels the price is right and if they're ready to sell."

"Buried Treasure" will be produced by ITV Studios America, with the Kenos, Joe Livecchi ("What Not to Wear"), Paul Buccieri ("Eleventh Hour") and Tim Eagan ("Hell's Kitchen") serving as executive producers.

Livecchi, who also created the series, opines that the series will help many struggling citizens find untapped resources in these tight economic times.

"Right now, a lot of people in America need cash, and we're helping them find it in their own homes," said Livecchi. "We're transforming lives with every treasure we find."
