Fox Pilot Pickups: ‘Alcatraz,’ ‘The New Girl,’ ‘The Finder’

“Exit Strategy” likely to be retooled; Sutherland’s “Touch” looks likely, even without being shot

Fox has ordered pilots for the J.J. Abrams mystery "Alcatraz," the Zooey Deschanel comedy "The New Girl" and the "Bones" spin-off "The Finder" to series, TheWrap has confirmed.

The Antoine Fuqua–directed, Ethan Hawke–starring "Exit Strategy" is likely to be retooled, and the Kiefer Sutherland series "Touch" also looks like a solid go, even though no pilot has been shot.

"Alcatraz," about a group of prisoners who suddenly materialize at the defunct California prison, will bring "Lost" fan favorite Jorge Garcia (pictured) back to the air.

The pickups of "The New Girl" and "The Finder" expand the "Bones" family: Deschanel's sister, Emily, stars on the show, which was renewed for a seventh season last week.

The official announcements will come at Fox's upfront presentation Monday. The "New Girl" pickup was first reported by Deadline.com.
