Fox's Fall Lineup: Abrams on Mondays; MacFarlane, Samberg on Tuesdays

Fox announced Monday that "Sleepy Hollow" and J.J. Abrams' futuristic cop drama "Almost Human" will air on Mondays in the fall, while Seth MacFarlane's "Dads" and the Andy Samberg series "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" will join the network's Tuesday comedy lineup.

Fox also announced that "The New Girl" and a new comedy to be determined will air in the plum spot after the Super Bowl. It also said the new Greg Kinner legal drama "Rake" and the cop drama "Gang Related" are scheduled to debut in midseason. So will the comedies "Surviving Jack," "Us & Them" and "Murder Police."

And Fox's first limited-run event series, M. Night Shyamalan's "Wayward Pines," starring Matt Dillon as a lawman in a town full of mysteries, will debut in 2014.

Fox will air "Bones" on Monday in the early fall, then give its 8 p.m. Monday timeslot to "Almost Human." "Sleepy Hollow" will air at 9 in the fall, and be replaced by the returning "The Following" in midseason.

On Tuesdays, "The New Girl" and "The Mindy Project" will be paired with "Dads," MacFarlane's first live-action comedy, and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," starring Samberg and Andre Braugher as clashing cops.

"The X Factor" will continue to air on Wednesdays in the fall, and "American Idol" will air on Wednesdays in midseason.

They will also have the same Thursday timeslots. In the fall, "X Factor" will be followed on Thursdays by "Glee." In midseason, "Idol" will be followed by "Rake."

The new kids' cooking show "Junior Masterchef" will air Fridays in the early fall at 8, but when "Almost Human" replaces "Bones" on Mondays, "Bones" will move to Fridays at 8. It will be joined by the returning comedy "Raising Hope" and the new "Enlisted."

"Fox Sports Saturday" will be followed by a new late-night animation block, "Animation Domination High-Def."

The network's Sunday mix of football and animation will remain in place.
