Fox’s ‘Glee’ Stars to Perform at Tony Awards

Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison will join rock band Green Day as performers

Two stars from the Fox TV freshman hit "Glee," Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison, will hit the Radio City Music Hall stage on Sunday night, June 13, to perform at the 64th annual Tony Awards, televised by CBS.

Also performing that night will be the rock band Green Day, along with cast members from Broadway shows "Come Fly Away," and "Promises, Promises."

This will not be the first appearance of the "Glee" singers on the Radio City Music Hall stage. Last week the cast performed a 75 minute Broadway-style stage version of their show for two nights that was well received by music critics.

The Tonys’ telecast on CBS, which honors the best in Broadway theater, will air from 8-11 p.m. live on the East Coast and taped-delayed on the West Coast.  Sean Hayes, the TV sitcom veteran who is now starring in "Promises, Promises," will host the awards show.
