Frances McDormand May Just Swear Her Way to Oscar – Watch NSFW ‘Three Billboards’ Trailer (Video)

The “Fargo” star heads this dark comedy from “In Bruges” writer/director Martin McDonagh

Frances McDormand says the words “f—,” “p—” and “c—” in Fox Searchlight’s NSFW trailer for her latest vehicle, “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” … and that’s just in the opening 10-seconds seconds of the preview.

The “Fargo” Oscar winner lets the curse words fly as Mildren Hayes, a grieving mother who takes on local enforcement after months with no leads on her daughter’s killer. To get their attention, she erects provocative billboards calling out police chief, William Willoughby (Woody Harrelson), just outside her town. “This doesn’t put an end to s—,” she tells a reporter. “This is just the f—ing start.”

The film comes from “In Bruges” and “Seven Psychopaths” writer/director Martin McDonagh. Like those two films, his latest looks to be a foul-mouthed dark comedy with a heavy dose of melancholy.

For McDormand, this could be a potential Oscar play, despite Fox Searchlight having yet to announce a release date. She was last nominated in 2005 for best supporting actress in “North Country,” and won in 1996 for her lead role in “Fargo.” She’s been nominated four times so far.

“Manchester By the Sea” breakout and Oscar nominee Lucas Hedges co-stars, along with Sam Rockwell, Abbie Cornish, Peter Dinklage and Caleb Landry Jones.
