Digital talk show featuring YouTube sensations will premiere in January
FremantleMedia North America is feeling alright with “The Crew.”
The company behind “American Idol” and “The X Factor,” among other unscripted hits, has joined forces with online global fashion and video platform StyleHaul in a multi-year, multi-series deal, the companies said Tuesday.
The first series, the digital talk show “The Crew,” is currently in post-production. The 10-episode show, taped in front of a live audience, features YouTube sensations Marcus Butler, Alfie Deyes, Jim Chapman and Caspar Lee riffing on a single topic each episode, with topics including relationships, social media, culture clashes and texting etiquette.

“We are absolutely thrilled to partner with FremantleMedia on this deal. We feel their expertise in producing iconic and record-breaking TV such as ‘American Idol’ and ‘America’s Got Talent,’ coupled with their global reach, will help take StyleHaul's content to the next level,” StyleHaul CEO Stephanie Horbaczewski said. “We are very excited to kick off our partnership with the show THE CREW with Jim, Casper, Marcus and Alfie. The show, which will include a live studio audience, will be a totally new concept for StyleHaul and bring this amazing group of talent a new format for their highly engaged fans.”
