FremantleMedia North America’s Donna Redier Linsk to Step Down in July

Departing chief operating office will consult for "American Idol"

Donna Redier Linsk, FremantleMedia North America's chief operating officer, will leave in July, an individual with inside knowledge told TheWrap on Friday.

Redier Linsk joined the company, which is responsible for "American Idol," "The X Factor" and "America's Got Talent," among others, in 2009.

The exec said that her tenure at the company had been "extremely rewarding." After her departure she will spend several months as a consultant for "American Idol," which recently hired former Swedish "Idol" producer Per Blankens after firing executive producer Nigel Lythgoe.

"Being a part of the FremantleMedia team, working across all areas of creative, business and production, was extremely rewarding in the past few years," Redier Linsk said. "While I will miss seeing my colleagues day-to-day, I'm excited to be focusing on the revitalization of 'American Idol' before moving on to my next venture."

FremantleMedia CEO Cecile Frot-Coutaz added, "I want to thank Donna for the contribution she made to our business over the last four years. She brought us her relentless rigor, business acumen, passion for production and incredible dedication. I will miss her dearly."

Calling Redier Linsk "an amazing talent," Thom Beers, FremantleMedia North America CEO added, "She will certainly be missed!"
