With “Fury” dominating the box office over the weekend, Jimmy Kimmel was following typical Hollywood logic by looking ahead to the sequel.
Even better, he managed to pull together an exciting trailer for a new Brad Pitt war saga, with just one small addition, introducing us to “Furby.”

That letter “b” in the title changed everything, though, as it was nostalgia heaven when Pitt and his tank crew found themselves facing off against a horde of the colorful Hasbro toy robots on Monday night’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on ABC.
Furbys hit the marketplace like a sledgehammer in 1998, dominating several holiday seasons before disappearing almost as quickly. The addictive children’s toy has had several resurgences since then, with advancements in its interactive elements.

One of the focuses of the Furby is to teach it English, but the Furbys Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman and company encounter in Kimmel’s spoof trailer weren’t interested in talking. This was war, albeit an absolutely adorable war.
“Fury” is in theaters now. “Jimmy Kimmel Live” airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on ABC. The sequel film “Furby” lives on forever in our imaginations.
