‘Game of Thrones’ Star Natalie Dormer Joins ‘Hunger Games: Mockingjay’

Jennifer Lawrence will reprise her role as Katniss Everdeen in the Francis Lawrence-directed sequel

"Game of Thrones" star Natalie Dormer is set to play Cressida in "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Parts 1 & 2," Lionsgate announced via Twitter on Thursday.

"Catching Fire" filmmaker Francis Lawrence returns to direct the two-part "Hunger Games" finale, which is based on the third novel in the bestselling series by Suzanne Collins

Jennifer Lawrence is set to reprise her role as Katniss Everdeen, who leads the districts of Panem in a rebellion against the tyrannical and corrupt Capitol. As the war that will determine the fate of Panem escalates, Katniss must decipher for herself who she can trust and what needs to be done, with everything she cares for in the balance.

The first "Hunger Games" movie grossed nearly $700 million worldwide. A sequel, "Catching Fire," is set to heat up theaters on Nov. 22.

"Mockingjay – Part 1" will be released worldwide on Nov. 21, 2014, while "Part 2" will open Nov. 20, 2015.

Dormer currently plays Margaery Tyrell on HBO’s "Game of Thrones" and recently wrapped the indie movie "Posh." She'll soon be seen in Ron Howard's "Rush" and Ridley Scott's "The Counselor."

Dormer is represented by UTA, Untitled Entertainment and United Agents.
